Just start fucking doing it.

To start a successful business, you don’t need a network, cash flow, or experience.

It starts by doing.

And success is different for everyone.

Maybe it means having more time to live your life outside of work or having enough money to afford your life without worry. Maybe it means making a difference in the lives of the people you touch each day.

When you create the playbook and you make the rules, success is whatever you want it to be. It is never going to look the same to two people.

But the doing…

The doing is non-negotiable.

This is one simple example of how doing changed my success trajectory.

When I was a kid, I was incredibly shy. I could go an entire day at school and not say a word.

Because of that, I knew I wanted to conquer my fear of public speaking.

Someone asked me to speak in front of thirty local business owners to share tips on how to run their business pages for social media, and I said YES.

Afterward, I had someone come up and ask if they could hire me. That turned into a seven-year, very successful contract that I enjoyed.

I also had someone come up and make me an offer. He told me they had a free office space available in their high-rise and that they needed help with their social media and website.

That turned into an 11-year contract, a really great friendship, and free office space at the best location in town.

They gave me the keys to a gorgeous office with a view that clients couldn’t stop talking about.

One thing led to another, and saying “yes” helped my success snowball.

I never had to advertise because I let my work speak for itself.

If someone liked what they saw, they reached out.

I ended up doing over 50 speaking engagements over the years with rooms as small as a dozen people and as big as 500.

Did I bomb a few times? Absolutely.

Did it suck? Absolutely.

Would I do it again? Yes.

Because saying yes to opportunity usually gave me a noticeable return.

Your life is speaking to you every day. Opportunity is coming for you, and I bet you might not even realize it.

Start paying attention to what you can say yes to, whether it’s handed to you or an opportunity that you see on your own.

Don’t be scared to fail.

Failure isn’t the problem. It’s part of the process.

Keep doing, and it becomes a numbers game.

But none of it happens if you don't get in the game.
